1. The offer
The offer was a buy-more-save-more discount: the more a customer bought, the more they saved. We combined it with bundle options that were already preselected, so the bigger basket was the easy choice.
2. Built like a launch
We planned Mother’s Day like a product launch. There was a little marketing up front, and then we pushed everything into the two days of May 9 and 10. The ad spend, the offer and the attention all landed in the same 48 hours.
The results
- €10,166.48 spent and €59,175.52 in purchase value, an average ROAS of 5.82.
- 760 purchases at €13.38 per purchase.
- The retargeting campaign returned 17.13x.
- The cold campaigns returned between 4.32x and 6.35x.
What to take from this
- Make the bigger basket the easy choice. Buy-more-save-more with preselected bundles gave customers a reason and a default to buy more.
- Treat a sales moment like a launch. A little marketing up front, then everything pushed into the days that matter.
- Cold traffic can pay back too. Every cold campaign returned more than 4x. Retargeting returned the most per euro, at 17.13x.
